Hello, I’m Caleb Russell, and this is my required secondary blog for college education! I’m a nonbinary (they/them) musician out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I sing classical and opera bass for my current degree plan, but I’m also an amateur bass guitarist with a focus in metal music. I’ve been practicing vocal music for about 7 years now, since my sixth grade year in middle school. Since then, I’ve been part of honor choirs of all levels, competed in regional and state festivals, worked on both classical and modern vocal technique, and even participated in musical theatre productions. However, I feel as though I’m only just starting to get a grasp on my true voice and style, and how hopefully I’ll be able to grow much more as this semester, and my time in college, moves forward.
